Welcome to SharedCircle's CoCart app. By using our mobile application and services, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CoCart, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.

2. Account Registration

To use CoCart, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete account information
• Maintaining the security of your login credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Share content that is harmful, offensive, or violates others' rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from the application
• Use automated systems to access the service without permission

4. Groups and Shared Content

When you join or create a group, you understand that:

• Shopping lists and expense data are shared with all group members
• Group admins may manage membership and group settings
• You are responsible for the content you add to shared lists
• Leaving a group may not delete data already shared with the group

5. Expense Splitting

CoCart provides expense tracking and splitting as a convenience tool. We are not a financial service. Users are responsible for settling expenses between themselves. CoCart is not liable for any disputes regarding shared expenses.

6. AI Features

CoCart uses AI-powered features for suggestions, parsing, and analysis. AI outputs are provided as-is and may not always be accurate. You should verify AI suggestions before acting on them, especially for dietary or allergy-related recommendations.

7. Intellectual Property

The CoCart service, including its design, features, and code, is owned by SharedCircle and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the content you create within the app.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when possible.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SharedCircle shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the past 12 months.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
